Eva Pyrnokoki is a performance artist and writer from Athens Greece. She reveals the body as a symbolic and metaphorical entity. It is an ongoing exploration of the boundaries between inner and outer liberation and imprisonment. Her research focuses on the value of art as a Bio-Psycho-Social Practice and the strong bond between art, sacred forms/symbols, society and science. She synthesises her art by combining written and spoken word, movements/gestures, images, video, healing energy therapies, neurology and food. For that reason, she often exceeds the limits of art forms. In 2023 she published her first book.

Enypnio publications and Little Tree Books & Coffee present Eva Pyrnokoki's first book:

On Thursday evening on the 26th of October 2023 from 8.30 p.m. the book was analysed and discussed in Little Tree Books & Coffee by Dimitris Tanoudis, Thomas Tsalapatis and Eirini Margariti. Eva read from the book and discussed with the panel and the audience. Come and travel with the book…
LITERATURE
On the 6th of May 2023, at the 19th International Book Fair of Thessaloniki, Eva Pyrnokoki has launched her first book with short stories: “Συνωμοτεί το δέρμα” (The conspiracy of the skin). On the Book Fair she presented her book and discussed with other writers of Enipnio publishing. The book is gently spreading its wings and is starting to fly into the future. 28 November 2019: “BAU LAB BioArt meets Performance” at WAAG, Amsterdam, Netherlands
An informal presentation of the results of the BAU LAB BioArt meets Performance. Prior to this presentation, four specialists from the field of BioArt, scientists and visual artists came together with a group of twelve choreographers and performance makers during a four-day performance laboratory.
The field of BioArt, in which living matter such as bacteria and microorganisms are used to discover the impact of biotechnology and science on our contemporary society and culture, was linked to the performing arts to investigate how the meeting of these two disciplines can create new perspectives about both the body and living matter.
26 & 27 November 2018: “All of a sudden…” at MIR Festival, Athens, Greece
The work ‘All of a sudden…’ is an installation-performance about the unexpected. Starting from a theory, that we usually develop our personal conceptual scheme and through that scheme we understand and experience the world, the performance poses questions about who we are when we meet with unexpected, unstable, foreign, unprecedented, uncoordinated, poetic, the undefined, the dark, the neighbor, the distant, whatever we consider ‘different’. What interests me in this project is not to explore how things are around us, but rather how they interact.
12, 13 & 14 October 2018: “Observatorium” at Dokzaal, Amsterdam, Netherlands
'Observatorium' raises pivotal questions about hidden social and political constraints.
This performance assembles bodily movement with live soundscapes and a video installation to evoke questions about asphyxiation, oppressive systems, transformation, choices and social denial.

«Στρέφεται δυτικά, προς την είσοδο του δωματίου, και με ρωτάει τρεις φορές: «Ἀποτάσση τῷ σῶμα; Καί πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτοῦ; Καί πάση τῇ λατρείᾳ αὐτοῦ; Καί πᾶσι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ; Καί πάση τῇ πομπῇ αὐτοῦ;»
«Αποτάσσομαι» λέω τρεις φορές τονίζοντας τις συλλαβές.
Ήταν σαν μια τεντωμένη, τρομοκρατημένη χορδή που πάλλεται λίγο πριν ακουστεί ο ήχος της. Έτσι ήταν τότε το δέρμα μου…»
Δώδεκα ιστορίες με θέμα τον αγώνα για συνύπαρξη. Πρόσωπα κινούμενα μεταξύ σκληρότητας και αντοχής, εκεί όπου το δέρμα, το κατ’ εξοχήν όργανο του σώματος που αφουγκράζεται και απορροφά όσα διαφεύγουν της συνείδησης, γίνεται η δύναμη που συνωμοτεί.
